SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP SERVICES
The people of St. Andrew’s gather for worship each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. We would invite you to join us as our guests. To our guests with children, we have dedicated nursery help available. The Lord’s Supper is also celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. Following our worship time, everyone is invited to go downstairs for our "coffee time." An elevator is available for your use.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
The Sunday School programs begins following the Children’s Sermon. The young people move to the basement, where junior, intermediate, and senior children begin their own time of singing God’s praises and learning God’s Word. For a number of years the children have also been very involved in the Operation Christmas Child program where shoeboxes filled with various items are sent to needy children around the world. In the summer of 2008 we had a very successful summer program using Veggie Tales videos.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY
The Ladies Bible study meets every Thursday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. in the Tea Room at St. Andrew’s. Some members bring their lunches beforehand and enjoy them together. A book that has been chosen is the catalyst for the discussion time. This has proven to be a wonderful place for encouragement and support.

MEN'S GROUP
Our men’s group gathers at 8:30 a.m. on the last Saturday of the month between September and May (except for December). We enjoy a light breakfast, and have been watching a video series by biblical scholar Ray VanderLaan. These videos are very thought-provoking and add insight into the world of Jesus’ day. This is followed by a time of lively discussion.

SINGLE & YOUNG ADULTS GROUP
This is a weekly get together of working adults (with their children) where we study the Bible, fellowship together and look at ways to serve. We have a period of Praise & Worship followed by the Bible study and visiting. We welcome anyone that is young at heart to join us every week. Child care is provided.

WOMEN'S MISSIONARY SOCIETY (WMS)
The WMS meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. except for July and August, for the study of mission work at home and abroad. They also help in the support of three children overseas, and are involved in various activities in the support of various local ministries such as House of Ruth, New Life Mission and the Christian Hostel.

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN
The focus of Presbyterian Women is to support and provide for various needs of the church facility and congregation. They are involved in catering funerals and other receptions, and also take part in the decoration of the church for special events. The meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. except for July and August.

MUSIC
The music program at St. Andrew’s is led by Charlene Wiest. Our choir, which has increased to nearly 20 members, meets every Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. from September through the end of April. It has become a great time of learning and laughter. A Praise and Worship team helps lead us in some of the more contemporary worship songs during our services of worship. They practice each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.

ACTIVITY NIGHT
Tuesday night is Activity Night. During the fall and winter months, we enjoy playing badminton with people from St. Andrew's as well as the community. At the present time we are meeting in the OLPH gym (235 Poplar) located on the North Shore. In the spring and summer we gather at Riverside Park for a time of walking and fellowship.

SUMMER READING CAMP
The Summer Reading Camp was started by school teacher who is an elder in our congregation who was also working with Laubach Literacy. He noticed that if a child was having reading problems in Grades 1 to 4, that that could negatively affect them the rest of their lives. He took the Laubach material which can be used by non-teachers to teach reading, and recruited teenagers to work with the young students one-on-one in a "camp" setting that is held in our church facility. It goes for 2 weeks, and they meet for 3 hours in the mornings with a variety of activites to help the young people. It is open to people in the community, and many of them have come from referrals from school teachers in the local area.

ENQUIRERS CLASSES
Have you ever wondered how and why churches differ? At least once a year we hold a ten week series of classes which look at the basics of the Christian faith and a short history of the Christian Church. During part of the course we look at the similarities and differences of different denominations, and also what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. It is a time of lively discussion and getting to know others.

REST IN THE LORD
REST in the Lord is a gathering for a special time of quiet worship and praying the Psalms that will be held at 7:00 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday evenings of each month.  This type of praying comes out of the Celtic/Taize’ traditions of the Church. If you have a desire to grow in your relationship with God, but can't seem to find the time or perhaps you have lots of time on your hands, but need to feel more of God's presence in your daily life, then this may be for you.  For more information, please contact Paul or Joanna Battjes at 250-374-2813 or email them at: pbattjes@shaw.ca

A CHRISTIAN MINISTRY AT SUN PEAKS
Since the winter of 2004-2005, St. Andrew's has been the sponsoring congregation for "A Christian Ministry at Sun Peaks" which at the present time meets during the ski season (the 2nd Sunday in December through the end of March) in the conference rooms at the Hearthstone Lodge. We gather for worship 6:00 p.m., except for the Annual Christmas Eve Service, when we gather at 10:00 p.m. Attenders include people who now live at Sun Peaks and the surrounding area, workers, and visitors who have come to Sun Peaks to ski.

THE HAMLETS AT WESTSYDE
We provide worship services for residents and staff at The Hamlets at Westsyde (3255 Overlander Dr.) on the second Sunday of each month at 2:30 p.m.

PONDEROSA LODGE
We provide worship services for residents and staff at Ponderosa Lodge (425 Columbia St.) on the third Sunday of each month at 1:30 p.m.
