Scripture calls us to love our neighbours. Jesus sends us to share the good news of salvation. But how do we love and connect with people we don’t yet know? This two-hour gathering is for those who want to build real relationships with our neighbours through simple, practical activities. Come ready to share your ideas, listen to others, and discern together what God might be calling us to do.
Proposed Agenda
Review ideas from our January 2024 gift-mapping exercise
Explore concrete opportunities, such as:
Hosting a congregational potluck lunch for seniors or the Sagebrush neighbourhood (with an invitation to worship, music, and fellowship)
Organizing a Sagebrush neighbourhood cook-off in the parking lot, with food tickets, tastings, and community voting
Visiting shut-ins or those who are lonely in our community
Offering errand-running or handyman help for neighbours in need
Discuss additional ideas
Decide together: choose at least one project with broad support and appoint a leadership team
