Helping a Student Set Up a Home

The administration at SKSS is helping a student who is living on their own set up a home. Items needed include pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups, bowls, and furniture. If you have items you could donate, please contact Amy.

Helping a Family in Temporary Housing

A church family is currently staying in a hotel while waiting for their rental to become available in October. In the meantime, they would benefit from a hot plate, Instant Pot, or crockpot. If you have one you could lend, please let Jarrett know.

Weekend Host for Vancouver Pastor & Son

A Presbyterian Pastor from Vancouver and his son will be in Kamloops September 24–27 for a baseball tournament at McArthur Island Park. They are looking for a church family who could provide a place for them to stay during the tournament. If you have room and would be willing to host them, please talk to Steve.

SKSS Homework Café Volunteers Needed

We are looking for volunteers to help with the SKSS Homework Café, which will run on Tuesdays from 11:20–12:05. Volunteers can help in two ways:

  • Purchase snacks for students — the church will cover the cost.
  • Help students with their homework, particularly in math and science.

Police record checks must be completed in advance. Talk to Steve if you would like to help or want more information.
